A lunch time tour under the sun for Lisa, Jim, Greg and Moni. They came up to Granada from the coast for the day, although Greg (son) had been in the city while he studying in Madrid. We savoured the differences between Ribera and Rioja wine. Lisa (mum) is an inspiring travel writer…I hope her tapa tour will give her some to write about!

The lovely Boulton family took this photo while visiting the Alhambra. They also came on a tapa tour with me. It was a cold night although it doesn´t look like it in the photo. We tried out 4 bars (the favourite served us “pincho” type tapas, layers of ingredients piled up on top of each other and pierced with a cocktail stick). Delicious!

John was on a 2 week language programme here in Granada and his 2 friends, Mary and Steve came to visit him. They have been friends since school and don´t get to see each other often as John now lives in Australia. The weather was kind to us on our lunch time tour and get sat out in a gorgeous square and sampled a competition entry tapa (the IV Tapa Competition was going on in the city at the time). Good chat and good food, what more could you ask for!

Bill and Orlando from Ohio, USA came on a 4 bar tapa tour with me and we had a ball! They were visiting a few cities in Andalucía all as part of a birthday surprise for Bill – he had no idea where he was going until Orlando took him to the airport! We enjoyed wine and avocados, beer and omelette and talked and talked and talked. Bill is a Zumba instructor in the States (just like me!) so we have plenty to chat about. My friend Lucy of GoGranda! joined us later in the evening too.
