Sept 2nd

This lovely couple from Ireland came with me on an tour.  Many giggles were had as we walked round the bars, especially when a rather upexpected “pomegranate” street bollard bashed into Paul´s knee.

The U.S Postgrad Tour

Aug 22nd

It took 10 months to organize but after diligently emailing Wilmara (the organiser) these lovely folks joined me for a tapa tour.  With 24 in the group, it was better to split up and we went to the same bars but at different times.  It all worked like clockwork and we met up in the 4th bar, all together

Tracey Burrows & Co. tour

 Aug 7th

Tracey, her hubby, his brother, wife and the in-laws all came on a sweltering hot summer tapa tour.  The aim of the tour was to find out a bit about Granada´s history, Spanish culture and most importantly to introduce the in-laws to the delights of tapas! (so they would know what to choose from the menu for their week long stay in the area!)

Escuela Montalbán Students

July

Escuela Montalbán students - in the summer months the majority of the visitors to the school are Spanish Language teachers from different countries.  We walk around the city, chatting about what it has to offer and telling stories, stopping off in 2 bars for a quick drink and tapa.

Currencies Direct Treasure Hunt

 July 16th

Fun in the sun was had by this corporate group from Currencies Direct.  A great way to see the city and add in a bit of competitive spirit too.  Thanks to Lucia for organising and Rob for sending me the group.

The Cassel Tour

July 13th

Brett and Shelli Cassel, a young American couple, came to Granada as part of their 5 week trip in Europe.  We enjoyed fish and pork as part of the tapa evening and a lot of chatting was done too.  A lovely night was had by all!

Jon Greensill & family

 July 12th

Jon, his wife and 3 children (Molly, Harry & Sam) braved the July heat and did a lunch time “funky” tapa tour.  We visited some outdoor places and modern bars too for the younger members of the party to enjoy.  They chose their tapas and berenjenas (aubergines) and empanadas (Argentinian pasties) were the clear favourites!

Gayle

Thanks again for the tour, we all enjoyed it and would certainly recommend you to others wanting to eat and drink their way around this fantastic city with some history thrown in as well. We came back into Granada later in the week and sought out some of your other recommendations including chocolate and churros at the football bar – not for those who are counting the calories! Also found a copy of your book back at our villa, so word is obviously getting around.

Best wishes

The Cohen Tour

June 12th

Roy and Joy came with me on a lunch time tour and we “waffled” together during the whole 2,5hrs.  An enigmatic couple and very talkative, seen here in front of one of the historic points in Granada.

Hi, Gayle!

We just want to thank you again for the wonderful tapas tour today.  Your choices were the best, and such a variety of places.  We loved your anecdotes and history stories that accompanied our stroll thru the city.  You are a great “waffler!”. It was so much fun and so comfortable to be with you.  It was as if we were old friends.

Lauren was living and working in France and came with her mother to visit Granada.  She had a great French accent!

Thanks for the fantastic tour Gayle! It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. I’m already looking for a way to come back to Andalucia!   Lauren    Jul 23, 2:58 PM
